Carin, originally from the USA, now living in Germany has been at the forefront in the advancement of Flute Technique.  She has worked with many of the world’s most well known composers including Brian Ferrnyhough, Mauricio Kagel, Alvin Lucier, and Giacinto Scelsi.  She has a particular passion for working with young, up-and-coming composers from around the globe.  She is also a member of numerous world-renowned ensembles, appears on a myriad of CDs, and is an author of an indispensable lexicon of Flute Techniques.

Her program in Cork will feature a wide variety of styles from an eclectic and international group of composers including: David Lang of Bang on a Can, Japanese Composers, Motoharu Kawashima and Toru Takemitsu (the latter composed the score for the epic film Ran) the Italian composer, Scelsi, as well as compositions for flute and electronics by the German composer, Christoph Ogiermann and UCC composer, Jesse Ronneau.
