UCC to be represented at Perpignan Carillon Festival

This year's annual Perpignan Carillon Festival will feature a number of European educational institutions which provide courses in carillon studies.

This year's annual Perpignan Carillon Festival will feature a number of European educational institutions which provide courses in carillon studies.
UCC is among the five selected, along with teachers and students from Belgium, England, France and The Netherlands.
On Thursday, July 30th, Adrian Gebruers and Treasa Edmonds will present a special recital of solos and duets on the historic carillon of the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Perpignan. Adrian Gebruers is lecturer in carillon studies at the UCC's Music Department and Carillonneur of St Colman's Cathedral in Cobh. Carillon scholar, Treasa Edmonds holds a BA in Arts-Music and a BMus from UCC and in 2007 was the first recipient of the Staf Gebruers Memorial Award.
