UCC hosts Electrical Engineering Open Day
10.03.2009

Prospective Electrical Engineering students will have the opportunity to get a flavour of what electrical engineering is all about when they attend the Electrical Engineering Open Day at UCC on Friday next, March 13th.
This Open Day showcases the project work completed by students in their final year of the CK605 degree programme, and includes practical demonstrations of the many diverse technologies that are all part of Electrical Engineering, including renewable energy, electronics, wireless sensors, and biomedical systems. An electric golf cart, and an automatic snooker referee are just two examples of the many projects that will be on display.

One of the main objectives of the Open Day is to promote understanding of what professional Electrical Engineers actually do by providing an opportunity to meet current final year Electrical Engineering students from the CK605 degree programme, learn about their experiences, and discover the huge range of job opportunities for professional Electrical Engineers. For more information, please visit website at http://www.ucc.ie/eleceng

Hosted by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, UCC, the Open Day will be held in the Electrical Engineering Building, UCC on Friday, March 13th 2009 between 10am and 4pm. Staff & students from all disciplines are welcome to attend.
