UCC Academic elected Fellow of the Irish Academy of Management

Dr James S. Walsh, Lecturer in Management & Director of the Executive MBA Programme at UCC, was elected Fellow of the Irish Academy of Management at its Annual Meeting in Galway recently.

Dr James S. Walsh, Lecturer in Management & Director of the Executive MBA Programme at UCC, was elected Fellow of the Irish Academy of Management at its Annual Meeting in Galway recently.
Dr Walsh was presented with his fellowship parchment by Eamon O’Cuiv, Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affiars. The fellowship citation praised Dr Walsh for his vision and commitment in establishing the Irish Academy of Management in Cork in 1996, and for serving as its first official Chair from 1998-2001. The Academy has gone from strength to strength, and is a leading forum for Irish and international business academics in Management and related disciplines, and runs its own Journal [the Irish Journal of Management], Annual Conference, Doctoral Colloquium and Best Paper Awards, as well as making an award to the leading contributor to Irish Management, the first recipient in 2009 being Dr TK Whitaker.
