Some 1000 students from all over Munster will receive Certificates, Diplomas and Higher Diplomas on Saturday, December 5th when the UCC’s Centre for Adult Continuing Education holds its annual award ceremonies.
At each of the three ceremonies, a guest speaker will deliver a short presentation on the general topic of adult and life-long learning in the challenging circumstances of today’s Ireland.   Mr Michael McDonnell - Director CIPD Ireland, Mr John Allen – School Principal, Columnist and former Cork Manager and Brian Crowley MEP and will speak at the respective ceremonies.

“All these speakers have achieved significant profile and success in their own careers and should have much to say to inspire adults to venture on new paths of learning” said Dr Tom Mullins, Acting Director, Centre for Adult Continuing Education, UCC.

UCC’s Centre for Adult Continuing Education offers a flexible approach to meeting the needs of adult learners. This flexibility is evident in the range and availability of programmes at the university as well as those offered in many outreach centres and in community settings throughout Ireland. This range of learning opportunities reflects the many partnerships and contacts with outside educational interests, both statutory and voluntary.
