UCC Orientation 2007
14.09.2007

University College Cork (UCC) hosts Orientation 2007 for First Year students from September 17th-21st 2007.
Orientation Week, which coincides with Registration, is aimed at providing all incoming first year students with a cohesive, integrated, comprehensive and consistent induction to UCC. Prior to the commencement of lectures, the Orientation Programme provides students with the essential information to make a smooth transition to university life.

All First Year students are invited to attend their individual orientation day to learn about all aspects of UCC services and the College campus. Information sessions on individual programmes of study run throughout the week. Guided tours of campus are organised on a regular basis so students can familiarize themselves with the location of their College/Faculty/Department Office.  Tours of the Library also operate each day.

All First Year students should avail of this opportunity as the Programme provides much-needed information on general matters and specific information on Colleges/Faculties and Departments. Students who participate in the Orientation Programme will develop relationships with Colleges/Faculties, staff and students that serve them well during their time at university.

Attending Orientation also affords the opportunity to meet other students and make new friends.  Clubs and Societies are represented throughout the week adding to the atmosphere on campus.

Orientation timetables are available on website: http://www.ucc.ie/orientation
