Scoláireacht Uí Ríordáin 2007
Dr Michael Murphy, President of UCC, conferred this year's Seán Ó
Ríordáin Scholarship on Colm Ó Donnchú, a pupil of Gaelscoil Uí
Ríordáin, Baile an Chollaigh. Sponsored by UCC's Bord na Gaeilge, the
scholarship celebrates the memory of renowned Cork poet, Seán Ó
Ríordáin who worked for a number of years in the Department of Modern
Irish, UCC. The scholarship which is awarded annually to pupils
of Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin enables the recipient to spend three enjoyable
weeks in the Irish speaking environment of the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht.

Dr. Micheál Ó Murchú, Scoláireacht Sheáin Uí Ríordáin na bliana seo ar
Cholm Ó Donnchú, dalta de chuid Ghaelscoil Uí Ríordáin, Baile an
Chollaigh. Is é Bord Gaeilge Choláiste na hOllscoile, Corcaigh a
dheineann urraíocht ar an scoláireacht seo agus comórann sí saothar an
fhile cháiliúil Seán Ó Ríordáin a bhí ag obair ar feadh roinnt blianta
i Roinn na Nua-Ghaeilge sa Choláiste. Is Scoláireacht í seo a
bhronntar go bliantúil ar dhalta de chuid Ghaelscoil Uí Ríordáin agus
tugann sí caoi don mbuaiteoir trí seachtaine thairbheacha a chaitheamh
ar scoláireacht i rith an tSamhraidh i nGaeltacht Chorca Dhuibhne.
