Forensic Radiography Conference at UCC
The Department of Radiography, Cork University Hospital (CUH) in
collaboration with the Department of Radiology, UCC, the Irish
Institute of Radiography and School of Diagnostic Imaging, UCD hosted a
forensic Radiology Conference in Cork on 21 April 2007.
Over 200 people from Ireland and the United Kingdom attended the
conference which was held at the Brookfield Health Sciences Complex.
The impressive programme with speakers from Ireland and the United
Kingdom included Professor Marie Cassidy (State Pathologist), Dr Margot
Bolster (Deputy State Pathologist), Mr Mark Viner (Chair of the
Association of Forensic Radiographers, UK), Ms Jean O'Connor
(Department of Human Anatomy, UCD), Ms Sharon Simpson (RSM, St
Vincent's Hospital), Mr Jonathan McNulty (Irish Institute of
Radiographers & Diagnostic Imaging, UCD) and Professor Michael
Maher (Professor of Radiology, UCC).
The organisers of the conference were Mr Raj Chopra (Radiation
Protection Officer and Clinical Specialist Radiographer, CUH), Mr Shane
Hayes (Senior Radiographer, CUH) and Mr Jonathan McNulty (School Of
Diagnostic Imaging, UCD).
