Cork Campus Radio 97.4FM wins Oxygen S-Media Award
MA student Aileen Lee has received the Radio Production of the Year
Award at the 2007 Oxygen National Student Media Awards for a special
report on sex trafficking in Cork. Aileen's feature 'Out of Sight, Out
of Mind' won the News & Current Affairs category
Also shortlisted in the same category were Government & Public
Policy students Conor Culkin and Barry O'Sullivan for their European
Affairs series 'Europe Today', which can be heard every Monday
3:30-4pm. Aileen's winning feature will be re-broadcast next Monday 2nd
April at 2pm
Campus Radio also congratulates the UCC Express on their success at
this year's awards. Speaking about the award, Campus Radio Station
Manager, Catriona Chambers said: " 'Out of Sight, Out of Mind' is a
stunning piece of investigative journalism, and we're delighted for
Aileen. It's a prestigious award, and it highlights the fact that
Campus Radio can hold its own against other colleges with official
media & communications courses."
