Open Day at UCC - 20 April 2007

On Friday, 20 April, UCC will open its campus and facilities to transition, fifth and sixth year students, their guidance counsellors, teachers and parents.

An extensive programme has been organised for the day, including an overview of all degree programmes offered by the four Colleges which include Science, Engineering and Food Science; Medicine and Health; Business and Law and  Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences. Campus tours, information stands and demonstrations will also take place and students will have an opportunity to visit the Mardyke Sports Arena where schools will participate in a programme of sporting events.  Students interested in studying in the College of Medicine and Health will have the opportunity to visit Brookfield Health Sciences Complex as well as the new Cavanagh Pharmacy Building.

Transition Year students are also invited to attend a presentation which will give an overview of all degree programmes with a focus on entry requirements and relevant subject choices for the Leaving Certificate.

It is hoped that all prospective students will gain an insight into programmes they have a particular interest in, as well as getting an understanding of student life.
