Award winning catalogues for Boole Library, UCC
For two years running, publications from the Lewis Glucksman Gallery
have been competition winners at the prestigious Best of Irish
Advertising & Design Awards. The award winning catalogues, from two
gallery exhibitions, Through the Looking Glass: Childhood in Contemporary Photography and Blake & Sons: Alternative Lifestyles and Mysticism in Contemporary Art,
were designed by David Smith of Atelier Design in Dublin.
Today (25 January 2007) these books were presented to UCC Librarian,
John Fitzgerald for the Boole Library by Fiona Kearney, Director of the
Glucksman and René Zechlin, Curator.
Fiona Kearney, Director, said "the awards are a great recognition of
the quality of design and content that mark Glucksman publications and
I am very pleased to donate copies of the award-winning catalogues to
the Boole Library so that students present and future can read about
the fascinating exhibitions we have put on in the gallery".
The catalogues are both in limited editions but a small number are
still available to purchase in the Glucksman shop or online at
www.glucksman.org
