The Global Mobilities Project at the EUI, led by Prof Ettore Recchi, are partners with UCC in the MIGMOBS European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant project.

The Global Mobilities Project (GMP) at the Migration Policy Centre (MPC) of the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence (Italy), is a project dedicated to collecting, systematizing and analyzing worldwide data on population movements and their underpinning social, economic, and political conditions.

The GMP is led by Ettore Recchi, Professor of Sociology at Sciences Po Paris at the Centre for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS); part-time professor of the MPC and Fellow at the Institut Convergences Migrations (Paris). Recchi’s core research agenda revolves around human mobility and the inequalities that go with it. He questions the ramifications of geographical mobility through micro- and macro-level empirical analyses.
