Professor Smaranda Angheni
Biography
Professor Smaranda Angheni is the scientific supervisor for the research team at Titu Maiorescu University. She teaches Commercial Law and Business Law at UTM, as a visiting professor at Universite d’Orleans and for future judges at the National Institute of Magistrates. She has a prolific research activity in these areas, having published as author or co-author over 40 books and 55 articles, in Romanian and French. Recently she has coordinated the section dedicated to commercial law in the Romanian Judicial Encyclopaedia (2018) and is currently publishing a treaty on Commercial Law (2019). She has worked as an expert or coordinator in 15 national & international research projects. Her professional profile is completed by her academic management positions – 8 years as Dean of Faculty of Law and for the past 7 years Rector of UTM - and by her active membership in numerous national and international professional associations and committees.
