Dr Fiachra Ó Súilleabháin
Fiachra Ó Súilleabháin is a tenured College Lecturer in Social Work and Social Policy in the School of Applied Social Studies in University College Cork. His academic writing, professional practice and civic-engagement reflect his commitment towards equality, diversity and inclusion. He is currently research active in the fields of genders (co-investigator of the H2020 GenderNet PositivMasc project aimed at developing strategies for the promotion of anti-violence against women), ecological justice environment & global development (Environmental Education for Professions), and LGBT+ issues (co-convenor of the ISS21 Genders, Sexualities and Families Research Cluster). He has published on sexuality and diversity issues including male gay parenting (doctoral thesis, 2011; and Ó Súilleabháin, 2017), suicidality and LGBT+ populations (Keeley, Ó Súilleabháin & Leane, 2021), vulnerability and trans youth (Leane & Ó Súilleabháin, 2021).
