Anthony Morrissey wins University Staff Recognition Impact award

Anthony Morrissey, Commercialisation Case Manager for the ICT, Physical Sciences and Engineering, received a UCC Staff Recognition Award in the "Impact" Category. It is a great accolade for Anthony, deservedly recognsing the impact he has had on our relationships with external company partners, the success of our applications for funding and transferring our technology to industry
Anthony is TTO Case Manager on ‘ICT’ technologies, meaning he manages IP, research commercialisation, and industry collaborations for Tyndall, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, the SFI Centres IPIC, CONNECT and AMBER, and the EI-IDA Technology Centres MCCI and GRCTC…an unusually broad range of technologies, extending into the Financial Services innovation space. In the last 2 years alone, Anthony has had unprecedented success in commercialising UCC technology, supporting the execution of 20 commercial licenses and supported the launch of 2 new spinouts, as well as negotiating dozens of industry contracts. He has also supported our researchers applications to several funding agencies (Enterprise Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland & Irish Research Council) to access technology development funding essential to the development of commercially attractive IP
On behalf of the rest of the team here in TT, congratulations Anthony!
