The Sustainability Challenges facing the Irish Dairy Sector
University College Cork and the Irish Co-operative Organisation Society are proud to invite you to a high-level two-day training event on environmental sustainability, which is the greatest challenge facing the future of farming and the dairy sector. This course affords a unique opportunity for co-operative board directors and senior management to engage with the leading policy, industry and academic experts in the area of the environment.
The objective of the course is for co-operative directors and senior management, as industry leaders to evaluate and develop solutions and approaches that will enable the Irish dairy sector to respond positively to the pressing challenges related to environmental sustainability. The dairy sector is facing increasing compliance, regulatory and societal challenges across a spectrum of issues including climate change, water quality, ammonia emissions, biodiversity and animal welfare.
