FITU Welcomes New Class - Diploma in Food Manufacturing Management

The Food Industry Training Unit UCC and Taste 4 Success Skillnet are delighted to welcome another cohort of current and aspiring food manufacturing managers onto the Diploma in Food Manufacturing Management for 2024-25.

Commencing in September, this residential part-time diploma is tailored for professionals seeking to enhance their management capability and confidence and is designed to foster educational growth and networking opportunities. Led by academic and industry experts, each module will equip participants with practical insights directly applicable to their workplace. 

Module topics include Team building, communications, organisational and personal effectiveness, food marketing, business planning, regulatory and compliance management, operations and scm. An in-company project will also be completed over the duration of the programme.

Participating companies include Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), Glenilen Farm, Glenpatrick Spring Water, Musgrave, Nature's Best, Pepsico and Rosderra Meats.

* This part-time Diploma is organised by the Food Industry Training Unit (FITU), in association with the Department of Food Business and Development (Cork University Business School) and Adult Continuing Education (ACE), all based in University College Cork, and in partnership with the Taste 4 Success Skillnet. The Diploma is Level 7 (Special Purpose) in the National Framework of Qualifications. Accreditation for the programme rests with University College Cork.
