Children’s Rights in Ireland: Law, Policy and Practice by Ursula Kilkelly, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law UCC and member of the CCJHR, has just been published by Tottel publishing. This is the first comprehensive text on children’s rights in Irish law which deals with a wide range of issues including guardianship, custody and access, education, youth justice, healthcare and children in legal proceedings. It addresses current provision for children’s rights in the Constitution and considers, throughout, the extent to which the Irish law, policy and practice complies with Ireland’s human rights obligations and international best practice.
