Cork Confucius Institute Coaches Johnson and Johnson Staff

On the 26th of April 2017, UCC’s Confucius Institute was delighted to visit Johnson and Johnson’s Cork facility. The purpose of the visit was to deliver the first of a series of classes aimed at introducing the companies staff to Chinese language and culture.
CI lecturers Tan Qin Qingqin and Li Qinyuan, met employees from Ireland, the UK and South America to train them on the basics of Chinese language and professional etiquette and culture. In a formal but engaging atmosphere, the J&J team mastered how to introduce themselves and the correct vocabulary and pronunciation of their work titles and job functions. As the class finished the students had all enjoyed the experience and look forward to their next session.
The tailored service was designed to J&J’s specifications and delivered by teachers who understand the value deeper cultural awareness provides those interested in the worlds largest consumer market.
UCC’s CI is devoted to spreading Chinese language and culture throughout the region. Hopefully with initiatives like this, it wont be too long before we can hear Chinese being spoken more frequently around Cork and beyond
