HUB 23 event gives green light to set up a new European Living Lab Hub to strengthen European co-operation between Living Lab initiatives of European Universities Alliances, recognising their importance for Europe's strategy for universities and the New European Innovation Agenda.

Inaugural European Living Lab Hub (ELLH) meeting was held as the first step in the co-creation of the organization which was first envisioned in the HUB 23 event by the European Commission (EC) on October 22nd, 2024.

Over the course a further meeting and survey with members, activites of the new European Living Lab Hub demonstates continued engagement by Alliances and establish a clear direction of travel based on co-design needs and priorities. 

The third ELLH conference was held in early-May 2025 and showcased the progress made in co-developing the Hubs activities through three key workstreams. In new developments , members were informed that the ELLH will work alongside the FOREU4ALL Consortium and its Regional Innovation Ecosystem Topical Group to pursue activities in the domain of Living Labs as relevant and integral to the alliances’ work.

The European Living Lab Hub will be presenting at the Open Living Lab Days (OLLD) in Andorra la Vella, a key event in the annual calendar for Living Lab practitioners led by the European Network of Living Labs.
