This Workstream responds to the needs expressed by the European Living Lab community for improved communication and coordination between Higher Education Living Living Labs pursuing research in Living Lab methodologies in Higher Education.
Activites are progressed by the "Research Integration" Work Group.
Member Living Labs and the EC express a need for increased participation of in Living Lab methodologies in research environments. This is hampered by the lack of information transfer and collaboration between existing Higher Education Living Lab initiatives. This lack of coordination has resulted in reduced research on the European Higher Education Living Lab ecosystem, how to further integrate Living Labs in research, and how to render Living Lab methodologies as main drivers in innovation.
Recognizing these shortcomings, this work group is focusing both exploring how to further integrate Living Labs as drivers in research and innovation in Higher Education; and on conducting research on Living Lab methodologies. This will be adavanced using the combined experience and knowledge of members, leveraging the fact that the ELLH has direct access and communication with its member Living Labs.
This plays a vital role in furthering the highest strategic objectives of the EU when it comes to exploring new ways to strengthen the European innovation ecosystem. In fulfilling these ambitions, Work Group is exploring challenges such as:
- What research can be conducted and what useful knowledge can be produced on the European Higher Education Living Lab environment and its individual member Living Labs?
- How to promote Living Labs as drivers in innovation?
