This Workstream responds to the needs expressed by the European Living Lab community for greater integration and strengthening of the pedagogic role of Living Lab methodologies in the European Higher Education ecosystem.
Activites are progressed by the "Learning and Training Integration" Work Group.
Integrally linked to this ambition is also the need to create paths for professional development to build skills and competencies for eco-system boundary work and to professionalize practices to create strong foundations onto which Living Lab expertise can be built. The ultimate goal of this last point is to create a class of “Living Lab Expert”, knowledgeable in the field of Living Labs. This can be prepared thanks to the combined expertise, knowledge and research provided by the ELLH and its members.
This can champion Living Lab methodologies, promote their adoption in new fields of interest and aid in their implementation. This ambition is linked to higher strategic goals set by the EU of increasing innovation by exploring new ways in which LLs can catalyse change and innovation thanks to its experts.
In pursuing these ambitions, this Work Group is exploring how this process of training helps shine new light on how to further integrate Livign Lab methodologies as drivers in education and training. The group is exploring challenges such as:
- How might we expand Living Labs pedagogic role and identify new ways in which its methodologies can be used to further integrate them as main drivers in Higher Education?
- How can we as a hub, identify professional pathways and train individuals to become experts in the realm of Livign Labs?
