Barry O'Sullivan is a full professor at the Department of Computer Science and Adjunct Professor at Monash University, Australia. He is the founding director of the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, UCC, and PI in the Confirm Centre for Smart Manufacturing. Professor O'Sullivan is a Member of the Royal Irish Academic, and Fellow and Deputy President of the European Artificial Intelligence Association. He was SFI Researcher of the Year in 2016 and UCC Researcher of the Year in 2017. He is a collaborator in the Cornell-based Computational Sustainability Network. He has spoken on the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the United Nations in New York in 2015 and 2016. He has written more than 250 peer-reviewed papers and been involved in winning $200 million in research funding.
