BSc (UCC), Masters in Nutrition (Minnesota), PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry (Cornell), Postdoctoral Fellow (Louvain). She has lectured in UCC since 1989 and has developed a very successful research programme (200 research papers, 7 million funding, approximately 50 Masters, PhD and Post-doctoral scientists) on relationships between nutrition and health including in developing countries.
