World Anatomy Day 2023 celebrated by Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience
16 Oct 2023World Anatomy Day 2023 was celebrated in UCC's Western Gateway Building on Friday 13th October at an event organised by Dr Mutahira Lone, Ms Ashley Benge and Dr André Toulouse and staff and students of the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience.

Congratulations to Dr Mutahira Lone appointed Director of MSc Human Anatomy programme
01 May 2023Dr Lone is a lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience, and has lectured to Graduate Entry Medical students (GEM) and MSc Radiography students before being appointed programme coordinator on the then recently introduced MSc Human Anatomy in 2017. Dr Lone currently lectures to MSc Human Anatomy students and lectures dental anatomy and histology to undergraduate dental students. As a research supervisor Dr Lone supervises MSc students' research projects and postgraduate research students.

MSc Human Anatomy course 2020 Now accepting applications
08 Apr 2020Applications are now being accepted to the UCC MSc Human Anatomy course, commencing September 2020.The MSc Human Anatomy is full time 12 month student centered course, with a large dissection component, lectures, practicals, tutorials, seminars and technology enhanced learning. Open to graduates of medicine, dentistry, clinical therapies, nursing, sciences, engineering and other fields interested in adding a postgraduate qualification in human anatomy to their skills base.

Meghan is a graduate of the University of Oregon, Pacific north west coast of the United States, and is happily settling into student life in Cork on the Atlantic south coast of Ireland!

First Five MSc Graduates in Human Anatomy are Conferred
14 Nov 2018Congratulations to the first graduates of the new MSc in Human Anatomy who were conferred with their Master Degrees in UCC last friday. This first taught MSc in Human Anatomy in the Republic of Ireland was developed by Dr Siobhain O'Mahony and Dr Joy Balta, Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience, UCC.
