Funded by Research Ireland and UCC Creative researchers at UCC have been re-thinking the place of Arts Practice within sustainability discourses at local and government level and exploring the possibility of an Arts & Sustainability Festival for Cork City. Arts Practice goes beyond science communication to bring the intelligence of embodiment, emotional engagement and located experience to audiences and participants. Research has involved partnership with textile and sustainability community groups from across Cork City and workshops piloting creative strategies for collaboration between professional Artists and UCC Climate, Environmental & Ecological Scientists. Partners include UCC's Sustainability Institute and SDSN (Sustainability Development Solutions Network) Ireland. 

Join us for this day of sharing practice, questions and curiosities, in resonant conversation with the Mapping Climate Change exhibition also at Horgan's Quay during Nov / early Dec.
