2026 Digital Clean Up Week

9 Mar 2026
Digital Tidy Towns Committee

University College Cork will host its second annual Digital Clean Up this Spring, expanding the one-day event held last year into a full Digital Clean Up Week, running from 9-13 March 2026. The initiative forms part of UCC’s wider efforts to reduce the University’s environmental impact while supporting the well‑being and productivity of staff and students. Click here to pledge some time.

Digital Clean Up Week aims to draw attention to the environmental implications of daily digital behaviours such as storing emails, backing up files, and managing large volumes of data, and to empower the UCC community to adopt more sustainable digital practices. Throughout this week, staff and students will be encouraged to participate in a coordinated digital decluttering effort using guidance and tools .
