This week during Ellucian Live, the higher education industry’s top global technology conference, Ellucian announced the winners of the 2022 Ellucian Impact Awards. The annual awards, from Ellucian, the leading higher education technology solutions provider, celebrate visionaries in higher education who are inspiring others to push the boundaries of technology and innovation.
“The Ellucian Impact Awards recognise institutions using technology to solve challenges, operate more efficiently, and offer a better student experience. This year’s winners are incredibly inspiring and demonstrate true leadership in driving transformation in higher education,” said Laura Ipsen, President and CEO, Ellucian. “We are honored to partner with institutions to deliver the modern solutions that empower and enable our customers to exceed students’ evolving expectations.”
This year, UCC was one of four Rising Star recipients which will each receive a $5,000 grant. UCC received the award for the in-house developed software UCC Apply.
Laura Ipsen, CEO of Ellucian wrote:“I am excited to share that we would like to recognize University College Cork with a Rising Star Award for the implementation of a postgraduate recruitment and application system. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. “
The award was made in recognition of the whole of campus collaborative approach UCC undertook in implementing a new recruitment and application system, UCCApply. The system is currently being used to manage and process Postgraduate, ACE, CPD, Quercus and NON-EU Undergraduate Degree applications. The system will be further extended to support other direct applications and recruitment activities in the coming months.
