Making Chemistry accessible to all in UCC

To make chemistry laboratories more accessible to students with reduced mobility in UCC, the Disability Support Service, in collaboration with the School of Chemistry, recently installed an accessible laboratory bench and associated air-extraction apparatus. The bench will support students who might find it difficult getting up and down from a standard bench.
The installation of this laboratory bench will enable the School of Chemistry to provide a more suitable learning environment for students with mobility challenges and ensure that all prospective UCC students can enter the world of chemistry without barriers.
