Ireland and Caoimhe Perdue Qualify for EuroHockey 2023 Championships
Congratulations to the Senior Irish Hockey squad who qualified for the EuroHockey Championships over the weekend. The EuroHockey Championships will take place in Mochengladback in 2023. Quercus Scholar, Caoimhe Perdue, was part of the successful team and we are delighted for her!!
Ireland had to finish top of the tournament to qualify for the EuroHockey Championships outright, and they did. They started with a win over Poland last Thursday 18th August, then they won against the Czech Republic on Saturday and finished off with an emphatic 7-0 win over Turkey yesterday. The Irish kept a very impressive clean sheet across all three games!
We are very proud of Caoimhe, a Nutritional Sciences student, and we wish her and the team all the best in their training for the Euros!!
