Good Practice Symposium Showcases Great Spirit of "Belonging"

The Good Practice Symposium 2026, held on 19th May, celebrated good practice, innovation and collaboration across the University with a focus on the theme of belonging.

The event was opened by the President, Professor John O’Halloran, followed by a series of 'Belonging Kaleidoscope Talks', delivered by Professor Ursula Kilkelly (Vice-President for Global Engagement), Dr Avril Hutch (Director of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion), and Mr Gary Mulcahy (Head of Student Life). There was a lively Panel discussion thereafter.

The event featured a fantastic range of posters and presentations, highlighting impactful case studies and initiatives that support a culture of belonging across the University and beyond. The Symposium captured a strong spirit of engagement and shared commitment to good practice. A digital collection of the posters is now available on the University webpage, providing an opportunity to revisit and share the excellent work showcased on the day.
