AUA Annual Conference 2022
QEU-led workshop
‘What Now? Shaping our Future’ was the theme of the AUA Annual Conference in which the Quality Unit participated on the 7-8 July 2022. The title was prompted by the global Covid-19 pandemic and informed by a willingness of resuming peer exchanges and good practice sharing to maximise the learnings from brisk pandemic adaptations to long-established modi operandi in HEIs.
Dr Silvia Brandi and Ms Marie O’Regan represented UCC Quality Enhancement by facilitating a workshop within the ‘Working Practices’ strand. Entitled ‘What are the features of an effective and inclusive Student Quality Forum in post-Covid-19 HE? Peer Dialogue and Practice Exchange’, the session gathered key peer insights from other Higher Education professionals on the potential for the development of a Student Quality Forum (SQF) prototype. The event also presented a unique opportunity for exploring both existing and emerging local and international student engagement initiatives, as well as contributing to the development of a network of like-minded HEI professionals sharing expertise and good practices on student engagement.
