Biography:

Úna is a HRB SPHeRE (Structured Population and Health Services Research Education) PhD Scholar based in the School of Public Health and Oral Health Services Research Centre, Cork University Dental School and Hospital. Úna graduated from Cork Dental School in 2010 with a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) before completing fellowship exams with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2012. She completed a Masters in Dental Public Health in 2013 with her research dissertation focusing on the oral health of children under six, dental extractions under general anaesthesia and cost implications. Prior to commencing her PhD Úna worked as a general dental surgeon with the Health Service Executive and was a member of the inaugural HSE Leadership Academy.
