Biography
AnneMarie has a background in clinical cardiology and was awarded her certificate of satisfactory completion of specialist training in 2013. Her research interests include hypertension and subclinical cardiovascular disease. She is carrying out further investigation on the Mitchelstown cohort, particularly on those patients who have undergone 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Her main focus is on night-time blood pressure. She will use carotid and cardiac ultrasound to assess for subclinical target organ damage in those with nocturnal hypertension.
