Welcome to the latest edition of SoPH News!

14 Nov 2024

As we near the end of a very successful semester, we are delighted to bring you updates about the School's most recent achievements, activities and our upcoming events.

"The School has welcomed many new students who have commenced the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with great interest and enthusiasm. The Masters in Public Health Programme has clearly gained global interest, with students attending from all continents.

From a research and development perspective, staff members of the School of Public Health have demonstrated exceptional achievements in successful research grants at both national and international and at early, mid-career and senior level, which is a very encouraging development in terms of both research quality and leadership in Public Health and Public Mental Health.

I also would like to thank our colleagues from the NSRF, CRF UCC, HSE Public Health and NCRI for the excellent collaboration, both in terms of teaching, research and service and community engagement.

I hope you enjoy this Autumn 2024 edition of our Newsletter."

Professor Ella Arensman, Head of School.
