Recruitment for the role of Director - National Cancer Registry Ireland / Professor of Cancer Epidemiology, UCC.

The NCRI is seeking suitable applicants for the role of Director, National Cancer Registry Ireland / Professor of Cancer Epidemiology, University College Cork.

The Director will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and management of the NCRI. She/he will manage the statutory functions of the NCRI and direct and oversee the operations of the organisation across all of its functional areas, including governance, financial management and human resources. The Director will facilitate the implementation of relevant recommendations of the National Cancer Strategy primarily through the provision of information and analysis to support policy development and service enhancement.

The post will incorporate a role as Professor of Cancer Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at University College Cork. The School of Public Health in UCC is a large academic public health centre with over 100 staff, researchers and postgraduate students. In Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020, the School is ranked within the top 150 Schools of Public Health globally.
