Coursework and Assessment
Details on specific coursework and assessment, as well as the grading criteria for modules, are available on Blackboard under the relevant modules https://www.ucc.ie/en/canvas/
Penalties for Late Submission of Assignments/Coursework
Where work is submitted up to and including 7 days late, 5% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved.
Where work is submitted up to and including 14 days late, 10% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved.
Work submitted 15 days late or more shall be assigned a mark of zero.
Students are responsible for ensuring that they have all parts of their work submitted.
Coursework/exam material will not be returned so students must ensure they have copies of all of their coursework kept for their own records.

Physical Education Association of Ireland (PEAI)
Students are strongly encouraged to join the PEAI.
The primary objectives of the Association are as follows:
- To improve standards and performance within Physical Education by providing members with opportunities and materials for professional growth, (through the exchange of information and knowledge in the field and related areas).
- To keep members up to date on the latest issues, trends, technologies and legislative developments in P.E. and related areas.
- To support and disseminate outstanding research.
- To safeguard members' interest by speaking with a strong unified voice on relevant issues.
- To provide national leadership and opportunities to influence policy and direction in P.E.
- To interest public awareness and understanding of the contribution of the Physical Education profession to Irish life.
Quercus Programme for Talented Students
UCC have introduced the Quercus Talented Students’ Programme aimed at supporting and promoting excellence in academia, sport, creative and performing arts, active citizenship and innovation/entrepreneurship for both prospective undergraduate students and students already registered in UCC.
