About Us

Welcome to the School of Education Website. We serve the Irish Education Community through our provision of quality initial and in-service teacher education and continuing professional development programmes for primary, secondary and university teaching.
The School of Education UCC is committed to the lifelong professional development, support and empowerment of educators. Our work is informed by research, inquiry and the critique of educational studies, policy and practice. We achieve our mission through:
- Teaching - courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate level;
- Research - our research programme includes individual and collaborative projects;
- Extension, dissemination and application of research findings;
- Co-operation with individuals, schools, institutions and agencies, locally, nationally and internationally.
The School of Education offers undergraduate courses in Early Years and Childhood Education and Sports Studies and Physical Education and postgraduate courses to primary, post-primary, further education and third-level teachers. Please contact the school with any queries.
