Dental Implant Workshop & Lecture

24 Nov 2021
Dental Implants

Dr Diarmuid O' Cronín will be presenting on 'Dental Implants in General Practice - A reminder of what you need to know' followed by optional hands on workshop.

Part 1:

Dental Implants in General Practice- A Reminder of What You Need to Know.

The lecture is a brief overview of dental implant treatment.

It is suitable for GDPs at any stage of their career, whether you are recently qualified or close to retirement.

It is geared towards dentists in general practice who discuss implant treatment with their patients, and who are responsible for monitoring and maintaining existing implant prostheses.

On a daily basis, patients in our practices ask about dental implant treatment and we see patients who already have had dental implants placed.

The presentation will be followed by an Optional Hands-on workshop at 8pm for GDPs who wish to restore dental implants in their own clinics.

Fee €35

Part 2:

An Introduction To How To Restore A Single Unit Implant In General Practice.

Implants are now commonly placed and restored by general dental practitioners.

That said many dentists are reluctant to provide either the surgical or prosthetic aspects of implant treatment as they lack the training, experience, and confidence to do so.

This lecture/workshop is an introduction to GDPs on how to restore implants in their own practices. The workshop will involve a hands-on (on models not patients!!) practical that covers taking impressions for single unit implant prostheses and fitting implant supported crowns.

(No Additional fee)

Pre booking is essential for the workshop as there are a limited number of units available.

If you wish to attend the lecture and workshop, please register online for the lecture and contact Catherine Nevin regarding the workshop
