The Dental School and Hospital, UCC is delighted to announce it has been awarded an Athena SWAN Bronze Award in acknowledgment of its demonstrated commitment to promote gender equality in the School and within the broader dental discipline.
The School has conducted a detailed self-assessed to identify the main challenges it faces towards gender equality and has developed a detailed action plan to address these.
The key actions to be implemented over the next 3 years are aimed at addressing the under-representation of males at undergraduate level and supporting the career trajectory of female academics and research staff.
This is just the start of a great journey towards achieving representation, progression and success for all in the School.
