Fifty Years of Dental Public Health
Dental Hospital and OHSRC organised a novel and interactive presentation for the current MDPH students on ‘Published policy documents relating to Dentistry in Ireland.’
On Thursday evening February 3rd the Dental Hospital and OHSRC organised a novel and interactive presentation for the current MDPH students on ‘Published policy documents relating to Dentistry in Ireland’ presented by ‘Dr Margaret Mc Donnell and ‘The introduction of water fluoridation’ presented by Dr Paul Beirne
The evening was a real success with the invited guests all contributing to the evening, we were very fortunate to have the Deans of both Cork University Dental School and Hospital and Dublin Dental Hospital in attendance, along with three of the four individuals who have held the post of Chief Dental Officer in Ireland: E.Professor Denis O’Mullane, Dr Seamus O’Hickey and Dr Ger Gavin.
The students also had the opportunity to hear Dr Joe Mullen Principal Dental Surgeon HSE-West (Sligo-Leitrim) and Dr Dympna Kavanagh Clinical Lead Oral Health, HSE speak.
