Your parchment will be sent via post to the permanent home address on your file. You must include your Eircode, postcode or ZIP code and your mobile telephone number (including country code). Please ensure we hold the correct address for you via your student admin portal by your ceremony date.
Preparing for the day
The Hub building on campus will be open for check in, gown collection, and photography 2 hours ahead of your ceremony. You are advised to arrive early and give yourself plenty of time for the pre-ceremony arrangements.
There are a few more practicalities to consider below ahead of your ceremony.
The conferring ceremony will take place in the Devere Hall on UCC’s main campus and will take approximately 45 minutes. You must attend Devere Hall at least 30 minutes before the ceremony commences for your roll call. The doors open for guest seating 40 minutes ahead of the ceremony. During your ceremony, you will be seated with your cohort in alphabetical order. The President will address you and the Head of College will call your name as part of the roll call.

The conferrings ceremony is a formal event and all graduands are required to wear academic robes, also known as academicals, for their ceremony. It is not permitted to alter, add to, decorate or embellish your academicals. Additional items, such as flags or banners, are prohibited.
Gown hire
McGinley Academic Robe Hire will be based in the Dora Alman room on the fourth floor of The Student Hub in UCC to facilitate the collection and return of hired academicals. Please visit www.mcginleygowns.ie to book and pay for your required academicals

Staff gown bookings are now open and must be booked one week before the first ceremony.
Photography
Lafayette Photographers will be located on campus, in the student hub, throughout the Spring Conferrings 2025 to take professional individual and family portraits. Please visit their website www.lafayette.ie to pre-book now. Pre-booking is highly recommended for your photography session.
Guest tickets
You are entitled to bring two guests to your ceremony. Please collect your tickets at the check in desk located on the ground floor the Hub building on campus. Tickets will be available for collection on the day of your ceremony only. We advise arriving on campus at least 1.5hrs prior to the start of your ceremony.
Parking
