International Student Receptions at UCC
College Celebrates Its International Student Community
The College of Business and Law welcomed visiting and full-programme international students to a series of lively receptions throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
The programme began with a welcome reception and table quiz in October, followed by a festive karaoke celebration in December. A spring reception in February rounded off the series with céilí dancing led by members of the UCC Dance Society and UCC Traditional Music Society.
The receptions were hosted by the College Internationalisation Committee, chaired by Dr JB McCarthy, Vice Dean of Internationalisation & External Engagement (CUBS).
Together, the three events celebrated the cultural diversity of the College of Business and Law and helped international students build friendships, connect with the wider UCC community and feel at home on campus.
