Chinese (Mandarin) Beginners 1

This course provides students with basic skills in Chinese language including speaking, listening, reading and writing. By the end of the course, students will have acquired a vocabulary of around 100 Chinese characters which will enable them to read and write and have simple conversations in Mandarin. Complete beginners or those with some knowledge of Chinese welcome.

Start Date: 28th January, 2026 (Wednesday)
Time: Wednesdays, 6.30 p.m. – 8.30 p.m. (10 Weeks)

Japanese – Beginners 1 (Online)

This introductory Japanese course uses interactive and learner-centred approaches to provide students with both an enjoyable learning experience and a practical foundation in both the spoken and written Japanese language. There is an emphasis on developing basic skills, which would be useful if visiting Japan or meeting a Japanese person for the first time. The course will also provide an introduction to both traditional and current aspects of Japanese culture and society. Absolute beginners and those with some knowledge of Japanese language welcome.

Please note: This class will be conducted online. To participate, you will need a stable internet connection, a computer, a microphone, and a webcam.
