UCC Arboretum celebrates National Tree Day with school visit.

On Thursday 6th October, St. Catherine's Primary school joined us to explore the trees at UCC to celebreate National Tree Day. Two groups of 5th class came along, on what was very sunny autumn day.  Starting off with a walk up the main avenue and then down to the lower grounds, the girls explored the trees, learning interesting facts along the way. Then up to the presidents garden where we did some tree measuring, making our way passed the library by the Giant Sequoias and onto the student centre where some hidden favourites awaited.
