There is an internship available working with some Senior Clinical Psychologists in the region who use EMDR. The project is led by Christian Ryan from the DClinPsych team in the School of Applied Psychology. It is envisaged that the project will start in January 2021 and will mostly involve remote working. The project is detailed below.

One-page letters of interest should be sent to Christian Ryan (christian.ryan@ucc.ie) by Monday 7th December. Experience is not essential, but if you have relevant experience (including in non-research areas) please describe. Christian will be in touch by the end of December.

You will receive training in a range of research and professional skills, including creating ethics applications for the School of Applied Psychology’s ethics committee, creating questionnaires on the online Qualtrics platform, extracting and summarising descriptive data and liaising with practicing clinical psychologists in the field.

The time commitment is relatively light, and it is expected that the project could be completed in two to three months with a couple of hours of work per week.

EMER

This project is part of a larger EMDR programme examining the impact of EMDR training on clinicians and clients of the Adult Mental Health services in Cork and Kerry. The project will involve a survey of clinical psychologists in the region.
