There is a growing consensus that the concept of recovery in mental health is being viewed and experienced as an unfulfilled promise for some individuals and families accessing services. Similarly, professionals on the frontline are becoming more disenfranchised with the ability to provide individuals and families with an effective and sustainable pathway out of services and into the community. Frustratingly, many individuals seeking to move beyond their label of mental illness are faced with relentless societal and service culture discourse which sees them through one identity only – their diagnosis. This webinar will seek to deconstruct these experiences which are influencing service culture, with the aim of providing attendees with a new interpretation for moving forward – social recovery.
