Today, Cancer Research @UCC is at the forefront of investigator-led translational and clinical trials, tackling some of the most challenging and poor-prognosis cancers to pioneer the next breakthrough in precision oncology.

Five years ago, UCC established the “Professor Gerald O’Sullivan Chair in Cancer Research” in honour of the late pioneering medical and research professional. This role is held by Professor Roisin Connolly who has been leading impactful, patient-centered cancer research aimed at improving outcomes for cancer patients. Her team provides critical support to a network of hospital-based researchers across the public and private sector.

Read about the profound impact of integrating academic research with clinical practice in the newly launched Cancer Research @UCC Impact Report 2019-2024.
