Youngstown University Ohio visit.

11 Oct 2019
Professor Maggie O'Neill and Dr. James Windle welcome staff and students from Youngstown University Ohio.

We were delighted to welcome Professor Phillip R.Dyer and Professor Susan Clutter and ten of their YSU Criminal Justice and Forensic Science students to UCC recently.

This faculty-led international study abroad offers YSU Criminal Justice and Forensic Science students a comparative justice study abroad programme to Ireland.

The visit to us followed their visit to Cork Prison that morning. Professor Maggie O'Neill and Dr. James Windle welcomed Professor Phillip Dyer and Professor Susan Clutter and their students - Russell, Thomas, Anna, Katlyn, Shayanna, Danyelle, Breanna, Erica, Nicholas and Patrick! With Maggie and James from our department were Dr. Katharina Swirak, Dr. Amin Sharifi Isaloo, Kevin Sweeney, Paula Meaney and our students, Muiris and Finch.

We exchanged brief presentations where Dr. Katharina Swirak and Dr. James Windle spoke about our BA and Ma programmes and Professor Susan Clutter spoke about their courses.

Both Phillip and Susan have books that will be published soon.

Following a tour of UCC campus, our Youngstown visitors went to Blarney Castle.
