Student Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is a crucial skill for students navigating college life and preparing for their future.  Understanding budgeting, managing student loans, building credit and making informed financial decisions can significantly impact long-term financial health.  However, students should also be aware of common financial threats, such as predatory lending practices, identity theft, credit card debt, and financial scams targeting young adults.

Additionally, overspending on non-essentials, failing to plan for emergencies, and not understanding the terms of student loans can lead to long-term financial struggles.  By developing strong financial literacy skills and staying informed about potential risks, students can build a stable financial foundation both during college and into their careers.
